The weld plus 1 inch each side shall be liquid penetrant inspected through the full length. welds shall have no cracks. Weld defects shall be repaired by removal to sound metal and rewelding. Max. concavity at the longitudinal weld is to be .50 % of the nominal pipe O.D. No concavity allowed at the circumferential weld. Flat to slightly convex welds are permissable.
Offering formed & welded cylinders from ASTM A240 plate. 100% x-ray of weld seam per ASME Sect VIII, Div I, UW51. Welded with ER2209 filler wire. Not annealed after welding. Ends left in as-formed condition (no bevel). Dye penetrant testing per ASME Sect VIII, Div I, Appendix 13.
