Length: 12 ft
3.5" diameter if cold finished - larger if hot rolled or forged. Larger diameter is ok if chemistry is met. We will be cutting bar into 10.1" long pieces so multiple shorter lengths are acceptable.
125 RMS or better finish required if 3-1/2" cold rolled bar is supplied. Larger diameter can be any finish.
Material grade is not restricted to AISI 1045 - only the following chemistry must be conformed to; .44 Carbon max, .90 Manganese max, .04 Phosphorous max, .04 Sulfur max, .10-.30 Silicon.
Material certifications are required.
Additional available quantities of material meeting these specs will be considered for purchase.
Bar shall be used as starting material for closed die forging. Bar, forgings, or billet will be considered acceptable for use.
